100 units at Retirement Housing Foundation’s Culver City Rotary Plaza are currently undergoing remodeling led by Urban Architecture Lab.
The existing 1980s building is being updated with modern finishes, thermafoil cabinets, and white quartz countertops to give the spaces a feeling of luxury and longevity. Solar panels are being added to the roof to increase energy efficiency while reducing the impact on the environment. The remodel will also include a new shuttle pickup zone.
The project will finish in Summer 2018.
The Culver City Rotary Club is a subsidized housing community for older adults over the age of 62 and the mobility/sensory impaired. The term “subsidized housing” means that the rent is based on income. A resident of the community pays approximately 30% of their income as rent. (RHF)
